What is Armotraz 1 mg?
Armotraz 1 mg Tablet is used along with other therapies in the treatment of breast cancer in postmenopausal women. This medicine is also used to treat women whose breast cancer has worsened after tamoxifen therapy.
This tablet falls under a category of drugs known as an aromatase inhibitor. It is used to treat breast cancer in post-menopausal women. It functions by lowering the estradiol concentrations in the blood which slows down the tumor growth and size.
On using Armotraz 1mg Tablet you may experience side effects such as muscle pain, breast pain, diarrhea, constipation, cough, dizziness, flu-like symptoms, stomach pain, vomiting, difficulty with sleeping, weakness, rapid weight gain, reduced appetite, hives, headache, skin rash, numbness, irregular heartbeat, clouded thoughts, fever, chills, skin ulcers, and swelling. Notify your doctor promptly should any of the allergic reactions show and worsen over time.
Before using this drug tell your doctor if; you are allergic to any ingredient contained with Armotraz 1mg Tablet, you have any allergy to foods, medicines, or substances, you are yet to go through menopause, you are taking any other medications especially those containing estrogen, you have a history of liver problems/ heart diseases/ osteoporosis/ high cholesterol.
The dosage should be prescribed by the doctor based on your overall medical history, age, and current condition. The usual dose in adults diagnosed with breast cancer is about 1 mg orally once per day.
Armotraz 1 mg Uses
Take with or without food. Take with food if it causes an upset stomach. Armotraz is usually taken orally once per day or as directed by a doctor. The medication can be taken with or without food but should be taken with a glass of water. Contact a doctor for the correct dosage and length of treatment as it will depend on the patient’s condition and their response to the therapy. Do not discontinue the treatment without consulting a doctor as some patients may require continuing the treatment for up to 5 years.

How does Armotraz 1 mg work?
Armotraz 1mg Tablet is an aromatase inhibitor. It works by lowering the amount of estrogen (natural female hormone) produced in the body. This can lower or stop the growth of some breast cancer cells that need estrogen to grow.
How to take Armotraz 1 mg?
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Armotraz 1mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
Armotraz 1 mg Contraindications
Contraindicated in pregnant women, premenopausal women, patients who are experienced with hypersensitivity to any components.
Armotraz 1 mg Dosage
- Missed Dose:
If a dose of Armotraz 1 mg Tablet is missed, take the dose as soon as you remember it. If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and take the next dose. Do not double the dose to make up for the missed one.
- Overdose:
Seek emergency medical treatment or contact the doctor in case of an overdose.
Armotraz 1 mg Side effects
Patients using Armotraz may encounter unwanted side effects such as:
- Upset stomach
- Loss of appetite
- Vomiting
- Hot flushes
- Diarrhea
- Headaches
- Nausea
- Vaginal bleeding
Contact a doctor immediately should side effects persist or encounter more severe side effects such as:
- Difficult or painful urination
- Skin lesions, ulcers, or blisters
- Vision problems
- Decreased bone density
- Pain in the upper right part of the stomach
- Mental or mood changes
- Signs of infection
- Bone pain or fractures
Warnings:
Immediately proceed to your nearest emergency department if you suffer an allergic reaction. Symptoms usually associated with such a reaction include difficulty breathing or swallowing, chest tightness, swelling, skin rashes, and hives.
Armotraz is not always suitable for all patients. Always consult your health care provider prior to using this medication if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, trying to conceive, using any other medication (prescription or non-prescription), using any herbal products or supplements, or if you have any allergies or other health problems.
The correct dosage and prescription commonly depend on the patient and the condition being treated. Do not adjust your dosage without the approval of your health care provider. This product is only for use as prescribed and instructed.
