What is Bimat 3ml Eye Drop?
Bimat Eye Drop is used for treating ocular hypertension (by draining fluid from the eye) or increased pressure in the eye and open-angle glaucoma. It comes in the form of eye drops.
This medicine should not be used if you are allergic to any ingredient of Bimat Eye Drop drops. Bimat Eye Drop is included in a class of medications called prostaglandin analogs.
This medication should not be taken by those who are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, are breastfeeding, and have some eye infection, swelling, inflammation, or injury.
A doctor should be informed before starting this medication if you are allergic to any drug or food, will be having eye surgery, have any other type of glaucoma, or are taking any medicine or drug (homeopathic, herbal, or otherwise).
Bimat 3ml Eye Drop (With Brush) Uses
Bimat Eye Drops are usually applied to the affected eye once per day in the evening or as directed by a doctor. Contact a doctor for the correct dosage and length of treatment as it will depend on the condition of the patient and their response to the therapy.
To apply the eye drops, tilt the head back slightly and pull down on the lower eyelid to create a small pocket. Hold the dropper above the eye, squeeze out a drop, and close the eye. Gently press a finger to the inside corner of the eye for about 1 minute to keep the liquid from draining into the tear duct.
How does Bimat 3ml Eye Drop work?
Bimat Eye Drop is a prostaglandin analog. It works by increasing the natural flow of fluid from the eye, thereby lowering the pressure in the eye.
How to take Bimat 3ml Eye Drop (With Brush)?
Bimat Eye Drops should be applied to the eye once daily (preferably in the evening to avoid contact with sunlight) or as prescribed by a doctor. To apply, hold your eye open and carefully squeeze a few drops into your eye. Then, blink a few times to help spread the liquid over the eye.
Bimat 3ml Eye Drop (With Brush) Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to Bimat S Drops is a contraindication. In addition, Bimat S Drops should not be used if you have the following conditions:
- Abnormal liver function tests
- Absent eye lens
- Hypersensitivity
- Inflammation of the iris
- Inflammation of the uvea of the eye
- Macular swelling and degeneration of the eye

- Overdose
In case of an overdose, consult a doctor or physician immediately for correct medical treatment.
- Missed Dose
In case of a missed dose, take the dose as soon as possible. However, if it is time for the next dose, skip the previous dose and take the next dose as per the original plan.

Warnings:
Patients wearing contact lenses should remove the contact lenses and wait at least 15 minutes after applying the medication to put them back on.

Bimat Eye Drops is not always suitable for all patients.
