- Chronic myelogenous leukemia (CML)
This medicine is used for the treatment of a specific type of blood cancer where the bone marrow produces white blood cells in excessive quantities for a prolonged period of time.
- Acute lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL)
This medicine is used for the treatment of a specific type of blood cancer where the bone marrow produces cancerous and immature lymphoblasts in large quantities. This also inhibits the growth and maturity of normal blood cells.
- Myeloproliferative disorder
This medicine is used for the treatment of a group of conditions that cause the red blood cells, white blood cells, and platelets to grow abnormally in the bone marrow.
- Myelodysplastic disease
This medicine is used for the treatment of a group of conditions where the newly formed blood cells in the bone marrow fail to mature, resulting in ineffective blood cell production.
- Systemic mastocytosis
This medicine is used for the treatment of a condition where the mast cells are abnormally increased in multiple organs including the bone marrow. This results in excessive production of mediators such as histamine in the body. This may result in symptoms similar to an allergic reaction.
