Cabgolin 0.5 mg Tablet is used to treat excess production of a natural hormone called prolactin. Excess production of this hormone is due to unknown causes or abnormal growths in the pituitary.
This medicine helps in preventing infertility, sexual problems, and bone loss caused by excess prolactin production in men and in women who are not breastfeeding.
It is also used as a second line therapy in the treatment of signs and symptoms of Parkinson’s disease along with carbidopa-levodopa or as a single agent in case of failure of or intolerance to a non-ergot compound.
Cabgolin is used to treat a hormone imbalance in which there is too much prolactin in the blood (also called hyperprolactinemia).
We supply Cabgolin manufactured by Sun Pharma. It is also known as generic Dostinex.
We also supply Caberlin by Sun Pharma. It is the same just a different branding.
Cabgolin 0.5mg Tablet treats increased prolactin level by decreasing the amount of prolactin in the body which helps in fertility and period problems. It treats acromegaly by decreasing the amount of growth hormone in the body.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Cabgolin 0.5mg Tablet is to be taken with food.
Cabgolin tablets (Generic Cabergoline) are contraindicated in patients with a hypersensitivity to Cabergoline, any inactive ingredient present in Cabgolin tablets or any ergot alkaloid. Cabgolin tablets are contraindicated in patients with a history of pulmonary, pericardial and retroperitoneal fibrotic disorders.
Take the missed dose as soon as you remember it. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose. Do not double your dose to make up for the missed dose.
Seek emergency medical treatment or contact the doctor immediately in case of an overdose.
