An effective cancer drug, Sorafenat 200Mg Tablet prevents and development and multiplication of cancer cells. Thus drug is used in the treatment of thyroid cancer, liver cancer as well as renal cancer.

Sorafenib Tosylate is licensed to treat people with kidney cancer that has spread outside the kidney (advanced or metastatic renal cell cancer) and who are no longer being helped by treatment with interferon alpha (IFN) or interleukin-2 (IL-2), or for whom these drugs are not suitable, liver cancer (hepatocellular carcinoma) that can’t be removed with surgery and also differentiated thyroid cancer (DTC) that is no longer being controlled by radioactive iodine treatment.
Sorafenib Tosylate belongs to the class of drugs called anti-cancer drugs. This drug acts by inhibiting tumour cell growth by preventing tumour angiogenesis. Thus, it helps in decreasing the growth and spread of cancer cells.
How does Sorafenat 200 mg Tablet work?
Sorafenat 200mg Tablet is an anti-cancer medication. It works by blocking the action of the abnormal protein that signals cancer cells to multiply. This helps to stop or slow the spread of cancer cells.
How to take Sorafenat 200 mg Tablet?
The dosage and the drug form depend on the age, weight and medical condition of an individual. Take Sorafenib Tosylate as prescribed by your doctor. Swallow the tablet whole. Do not crush or chew the tablet. Take the drug 30 minutes before a meal on an empty stomach as the food reduces the absorption of the drug.
If you miss a dose of Sorafenib Tosylate, please take it immediately once you remember. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, then skip the missed dose and continue with your regular dosing schedule. Do not take a double dose to make up for the missed dose.

In case, if you miss the dose, take it as soon as possible. If the time to take the next dose is near, leave the missed dose and take your next dose at the scheduled time. Do not stop taking the medicine, without asking your doctor as stopping the intake of the drug may reverse your improving conditions.
- Overdose:
The usual dosage of Sorafenat is 200mg twice daily, but your doctor will give specific instructions. Take Sorafenib on an empty stomach – allow one hour before eating or two hours after eating. Tablets should be swallowed whole with a glass of water.
Sorafenib needs to be taken as long as prescribed by your doctor. It is important you do not stop taking Sorafenib or reduce the dose if you begin to feel better. Only change if advised by your doctor.

Sorafenib can result in some side effects.

Warnings:
If you have any allergies, especially to any medicines, you must tell your doctor before taking Sorefenib. Also tell you doctor about any prescription or over-the-counter medicinces you are currently taking.
Sorefenib may not be a suitable treatment if you have high blood pressure, bleeding problems, chest pain, heart problems, kidney problems other than kidney cancer, or liver disease. Check with your dcotr if you suffer from any of these.
Sorefenib can decrease fertility, so tell your doctor if you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant, breast-feeding or planning to breast-feed.
