Description
Thalix 100Mg Capsule, is essentially an immunomodulatory drug. It is used to treat multiple myeloma and skin inflammation in leprosy. In the case of cancer patients, it has been to increase certain substances that kill cancer cells.
Thalix 100Mg Capsule should strictly not be used by pregnant women or those who could become pregnant. Thalix 100Mg Capsule passes into the semen, and hence men taking it should avoid sexual contact with women who are pregnant or can become pregnant. Effective birth control measures must be used. The risk for blood clots increases if combined with dexamethasone. Do not take it if you take sodium oxybate.
The most controversial side effect of Thalix 100Mg Capsule are birth defects in the upper and lower limbs, craniofacial area and in stature or even fetal death, if taken while pregnant. It has been known to cause several internal defects as well such as liver damage, cardiovascular damage, peripheral neuropathy, and excessive blood clots in the above mentioned case. More minor and common side effects include dizziness, tingling, constipation and tremors.
Thalix 100mg Capsule is used in the treatment of multiple myeloma and lepra reaction.
Thalix 100mg Capsule modulates the activity of body’s immune system and helps indirectly attacking the cancer cells. It also stops the growth of blood vessels in cancer.
The dosage and the drug form depend on the age, weight and medical condition of an individual. Take Thalidomide as prescribed by your doctor.
Swallow the capsule whole. Do not crush or chew the capsule. Take the drug with or without food. However, taking the drug with food prevents stomach upset.
If you miss a dose of Thalidomide, please take it immediately once you remember. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, then skip the missed dose and continue with your regular dosing schedule. Do not take a double dose to make up for the missed dose.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Thalix 100mg Capsule is to be taken empty stomach.
Hypersensitivity to Thalix Capsule is a contraindication. In addition, Thalix Capsule should not be used if you have the following conditions:

- Lactation
- Pregnancy
- Dosage:
If you miss a dose of Thalidomide, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
In addition to its intended effect, Thalix 100Mg Capsule may cause some unwanted effects too. In such cases, you must seek medical attention immediately. This is not an exhaustive list of side effects. Please inform your doctor if you experience any adverse reaction to the medication.

If you have an allergy to thalidomide or any other part of this drug. Tell your doctor if you are allergic to any drugs. Make sure to tell about the allergy and what signs you had. This includes telling about rash; hives; itching; shortness of breath; wheezing; cough; swelling of face, lips, tongue, or throat; or any other signs.
If you are of childbearing age, but are not using 2 kinds of birth control or if you are planning to get pregnant during your care or within 4 weeks after care has ended. If you are pregnant or may be pregnant. If you are breast-feeding.

Taking thalidomide together with alcohol may increase side effects such as dizziness, drowsiness, confusion, and difficulty concentrating.
