Thalix 50Mg Capsule, is essentially an immunomodulatory drug. It is used to treat multiple myeloma and skin inflammation in leprosy. In the case of cancer patients, it has been to increase certain substances that kill cancer cells.
Thalix 50Mg Capsule should strictly not be used by pregnant women or those who could become pregnant. Thalix 50Mg Capsule passes into the semen, and hence men taking it should avoid sexual contact with women who are pregnant or can become pregnant. Effective birth control measures must be used. The risk for blood clots increases if combined with dexamethasone. Do not take it if you take sodium oxybate.
The most controversial side effect of Thalix 50Mg Capsule are birth defects in the upper and lower limbs, craniofacial area and in stature or even fetal death, if taken while pregnant.
It has been known to cause several internal defects as well such as liver damage, cardiovascular damage, peripheral neuropathy, and excessive blood clots in the above mentioned case. More minor and common side effects include dizziness, tingling, constipation and tremors.
Thalix 50Mg Capsule is prescribed through special programs. Understand all instructions before taking it an hour after your dinner or at bedtime daily.

Thalix 50mg Capsule modulates the activity of body’s immune system and helps indirectly attacking the cancer cells. It also stops the growth of blood vessels in cancer.
Thalidomide belongs to a class of medications called immunomodulatory agents. It treats multiple myeloma by strengthening the immune system to fight cancer cells. It is useful in leprosy by blocking the action of inflammatory substances that cause swelling and pain.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Thalix 50mg Capsule is to be taken empty stomach.
Hypersensitivity to Thalix Capsule is a contraindication. In addition, Thalix Capsule should not be used if you have the following conditions:
- Hypersensitivity
- Lactation
- Pregnancy
The recommended dose is 200mg administered orally once daily with water, preferably at bedtime and at least 1-hour after the evening meal.
- Chills
- Dry skin
- Lung infection
- Alleged mental illness
- Abnormal coordination
- Breathlessness
- Vomiting
- Tremor
- Abnormal sensation in the skin
- Decreased blood counts

Caution should be exercised in patients with history of human immunodeficiency virus (HIV), acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS), decrease in white blood cells, seizures, and in children.
It may cause dizziness or drowsiness, do not drive a car or operate machinery and get up slowly from bed while taking this medication.
Avoid alcohol consumption while taking this medication.

No. thalidomide may harm the baby. It should not be given during pregnancy. Please follow your doctor’s advice regarding its use.
